Un chien en laisse qui jappe
A co-presentation with Le Diamant
Poetic
Provocating
Solo performance solo in which the artist, Gabriel Samson I, through poetic speech constructed, researched and mostly generationally anchored, offers their take on the suburbs, the artistic community and generation Z as well as their childhood. To echo these themes and in a process well-established in the self-serving culture, Gabriel Samson I thrives while doing all the sound, video, lighting, set changes and costume changes. This multidisciplinary aspect of their performance is embodied in the spoken word art, especially the monologue, poetry, rap and stand-up as well as the other mediums which joins them on stage : video, music and sound montage. We are witness to this dramatic tour de force which can happen when one is left to oneself. A theatrical orchestra with only one person.
A discovery presented by Robert Lepage
– Robert Lepage, metteur en scène
