Lettres non-écrites
Literary
Moving
This show is the amalgamation of over 400 letters and countless hours of writing guided by the anonymous confessions of volunteers. Since October, the authors Anne-Marie Olivier and Carolanne Foucher have been lending their words to the citizens of Quebec City to compose their never-written letters. The latter are joined by hundreds of other voices from Paris, Brussels and even New York, where David Geselson and his French company Lieux-Dits have overseen such similar processes. While these stories keep transforming the show, making each performance unique, we cannot help but be touched by these letters sometimes striking, sometimes funny, sometimes furious and sometimes banal but always profoundly human. For the first time in Canada, come see this intimate and refined performance which connects us all, a letter after another.
