This is the story of Maria, the sister of Simeone, nickame : Jesus Christ. Actually, this is the story of Maria, as seen by all the villagers who clump together behind her. Armed with a Smith & Wesson 9 milimetres, she is walking to Angelo the Turd, the young man who assaulted her last night. In this modern western, there is only one performer who takes on the voice and posture of every character with a ever more unbridled rhythm. We are hooked by this hypnotizing ambiance, supported by a musician with many instruments. Maria’s uprising with set a tsunami in motion : the gradual collective awareness of an entire village.
This play was nominated at the Prix Maeterlinck 2023 in the Best Show and Best Performance Categories. Laureate of the Best Set Design Category.
