After the huge success of Mama, Nathalie Doummar revisits the huis clos in a cabin through the eyes of a small egypto-québécois family clan. They are fathers, sons, cousins, brothers-in-law. They are 23, 40, 65 years old and find themselves alone for a weekend. Of course, they criticize, they challenge each other, they try to climb the hierarchical ladder of the family. By using the fertile themes such as the quest for validation, the definition of success and intergenerational tensions, Frères presents a variety of delightful characters and shine a lucid and caring light on modern masculinity.
