A coproduction by Roslyn Oades & Bob Scott and the Carrefour international de théâtre (Australia | Melbourne)
Ligne de nuit is an immersive audio experience composed of 300 anonymous messages, left by voicemail by residents of Quebec City, between midnight and 6 o’clock in the morning. The Australian conceptors, in collaboration with the Carrefour international de théâtre, adapted this show specifically for the festival. It will be a world-premiere for the French version of this project, a window on the intimacy of night owls, insomniacs, dreamers and night hearts, confessions of all kinds, sent to our ears like so many messages in a bottle.
Ligne de nuit was a love at first sight for us. This immersive experience transforms our city into a big theatre, uncovering a special window into the lives of night owls. By listening to those touching and intimate stories shared by people who live by night – night workers, insomniacs, those who live in the shadows – at the other end of the line, we dive right into their lives. This unique experience reminds us of the living painting Jardins Secrets from the interactive parcours Où tu vas quand tu dors en marchant…? which is one of our favorites from this festival.
