Le Diamant Theatre
2:00(without intermission)
French
A coproduction of Théâtre du Trillium and Théâtre Catapulte, in collaboration with Zones Théâtrales (Canada | Ottawa)
Sunday, September 19 1999, 15 years-old Éric Leduc’s body is found lifeless on the shores of St-Floribert-de-Lièges, in the Outaouais region. Twenty years later, Mélanie Breton, resident of Montreal born on the island comes back to uncover secrets, pain and sorrow for her own podcast series. With an interactive set designed by Artificial Intelligence, this true crime podcast plays on the codes of detective stories and questions media ethics. The two compagnies from Ottawa, Catapulte and Trillium, envelops us in a world in which we cannot trust anyone or anything.
Just like us, you will be bewitched by the murky and moving universe imagined by Louis-Philippe Roy. In Durant des années, the truth is always evolving, just like the set, with its midjourney vibe, is constantly moving as the story unfolds. You will sink with delight and horror in this sordid world until you realise that you are trapped…not by this fascinating play by two of the most interesting theatre companies of francophone Ontario, but by this fake-but-not-so-fake world that it denounces with cold lucidity. Will you dare take the leap?
